100 Club Membership Info

If you’re looking for a super affordable, simple and meaningful way to support us, joining the Cats In Distress 100 Club Lottery is a wonderful place to start! For just £2 a month, or £24 for an entire year of entries you can help provide vital care for cats in need and enjoy the excitement of a monthly prize draw.

Cats In Distress works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome vulnerable cats across the Wiltshire/Somerset area. Our work depends heavily on community support, and the 100 Club Lottery is one of the easiest ways to make a real difference. Every contribution helps cover essentials such as food, medical care, and safe shelter, giving cats a second chance at the life they deserve.

In return, you’re automatically entered into a private monthly lottery with the chance to win cash prizes. It’s a small commitment that brings ongoing benefits, both to you and to the cats who rely on the charity’s dedicated team.

If you’re interested in getting involved, read the T&C’s and then get in touch on the button below!

Terms & Conditions

  • A 100 club is a form of private lottery. It is open to all staff, supporters and volunteers of Cats In Distress.
  • It is open to anyone over 16 years of age.
  • The CID 100 Club will take the form of a private society lottery, requiring no licences but must be administered face to face at the Cats In Distress rescue itself and at fundraising/social events.
  • There are no legal requirements for private lotteries, but a strict set of rules and procedures is necessary in case a dispute should arise.
  • By subscribing to the 100 club, subscribers are then considered to be “members”, thus fulfilling the legal requirements of a private lottery.
  • The cost of membership for each number is £24 per year, payable by card, BACs, or cash.
  • Subscribers (Members) are given a specific number (or numbers) that are entered into the monthly draw.
  • A hundred numbers are available, usually one per person, but can be more per member if wanted.
  • If there are more subscribers than numbers, it will then become the 200 club, in which case the original members of the original 100 club will be advised.
  • Members will need to provide name & email address, bank details and a phone number – so that any winning funds can be sent to by BACs.
  • The monthly random number draw, will be computer generated on the last Thursday of each month, (except in Dec, when it will be made on the last working Thursday) this will be witnessed, and will take place either in the rescue office or at an event.
  • 40% of the takings will be won by one winner each month and 60% retained by CID.
  • Membership lasts for one year and must be renewed each year. The lottery year lasts from December to November, with the first draw to be made in December 2025. Membership renewal will be required in December each subsequent year.
  • If subscribers want to join after December, £2 per month will be deducted for each month already passed in the 100 club year. The subscriber will be made aware that a full year’s membership will be required from the following December.
  • The treasurer will make a BACs transfer to each month’s winner; the prize won each month is not guaranteed and depends on the number of subscribers taking part.  The winner will be notified by email, with the number & name of the winner displayed at the CID Rescue, on the Friends of FB group and in the CID newsletters.
  • A transparent folder containing application forms and details of how to pay will be available pinned to the notice board. Completed forms should be placed in the accompanying folder and will be collected on Thursdays.
