Working Cats

Cats are all unique, and we believe in finding the right home for all our cats. Some cats just don’t want to be in close proximity to people and don’t do well in a typical home environment. For those cats farms, stables, garden centres or rural homes with outbuildings are the perfect environment for cats that prefer to be outdoors “working”. Working cats normally require less maintenance than domestic cats and generally only need food & water, with an enclosed shelter, with someone to keep an eye on them and with a sufficiently large and enriched area for them to explore. They usually prefer to come and go as they please. As with our domestic cats, working cats need to be kept “indoors” for a period of time to acclimatise to their new surroundings and to know where “home” is. Each site is different so we will assess and advise what will be needed to help to settle your new recruit.
