MICROCHIPPING WORKS

NEDS STORY:

Ned was a kitten when he first went home, with his sibling Ted. Ned and Ted loved each other; but as they grew Ned was more and more adventurous. When the family moved house Ned kept going back to the old house. Eventually the new owners of the old home said they’d look after him. In the meantime Ted sadly passed away.

But unknown to Neds original owners, Ned was wandering further afield until one day he never returned. Spring forward 10yrs and we received a call. A concerned lady was moving out and was concerned that the cat she had been feeding for the past 5-6yrs would no longer have anyone to care for him. The cat was living in her shed, she’d provided him with a cosy bed, he was a little nervous, but friendly, could we help?

We arranged collection and this lovely tabby cat duly arrived. Imagine everyone’s joy to find out he was chipped…………. the Tel No worked, and once Teds owner had picked herself off the floor, immediately said when can I collect him.

A lot had happened in the 10yrs since Ned left home. Ted had sadly departed but another cat was living at home. Would Ned settle? Would the cats get on? Primed with lots of advise on introducing a new cat, Neds family would so anything to try and make it work.

Ted is slowly gaining in confidence, has had a full vet check which revealed aside from a little plaque build up, he’s in remarkably good health. Hopefully, it will be a very happy ending

After neutering, getting your cats microchipped is the best thing you can do for your cats. But that’s not the end of it. Keeping your details up to date is also important. Sadly, it wasn’t a happy reunion for this cat admitted within days of Ned. We were notified about him after he was reported as a stray, he’s now safely in our care, waiting for his forever home.
