Not ready yet… but introducing Gizmo and Dave 🐾 T Not ready yet… but introducing Gizmo and Dave 🐾

These boys were both strays and have now been signed over to us at CID. Both were chipped and neutered, and were precious pets, and are thought to have been abandoned after an owner move.

While waiting for a space with us, their finder cared for them and helped them start adjusting back to indoor life.

They are both incredibly affectionate boys. They sometimes curl up asleep in bed with together, so it would be lovely if they could stay this way, though not essential.

Both boys are eating better, using their litter trays perfectly, and already proving to be total love bugs. Gizmo practically climbs onto laps for kisses. Both clearly were missing the pet life!

⭐ Cat of the Week ⭐ Each week, we’ll introduce yo ⭐ Cat of the Week ⭐

Each week, we’ll introduce you to some of our cats who haven’t had as much interest, are harder to rehome, or who’ve been with us a little longer than we’d hoped.

➡️ Meet Bowie!

Bowie was part of our “5 Lost Boys” gang and now that Morgan and Rusty are reserved or adopted, we think it’s Bowie’s turn next…

Bowie came into our care after being found wandering the streets injured and alone. His injuries suggested he may have been involved in a road traffic accident. Two thirds of his tail had dropped off, he had a detached retina, broken teeth and was limping badly. We estimate Bowie to be around 5 to 6 years old.

Now Bowie has completely transformed ✨
His once yellowed coat is becoming bright white again, the fur is growing back on his little tail and his damaged teeth have been treated with a dental. After lots of TLC and dedicated care, Bowie is now fully recovered and ready for his forever home.

He has blossomed into such a lovely boy. Affectionate, playful and full of life, Bowie really is a little Prince Charming!

“Rescue kittens are too expensive…” we hear it all “Rescue kittens are too expensive…” we hear it all the time! 🐾

But during busy kitten season, there’s so much happening behind the scenes: feeding, cleaning, vet checks, vaccinations, neutering, microchipping and more.

When you add up the real cost of raising a kitten, adoption fees are actually incredibly fair. More importantly, you can trust that your kitten has had proper care, health checks and honest assessment before finding their new home.

We currently have a few litters in with us, but none are quite ready just yet 💙
Furrever Home Friday 💙 Shrimp was found as a tiny Furrever Home Friday 💙

Shrimp was found as a tiny stray back in November 2023, hanging around a seafood joint, scavenging for food during a bitterly cold spell.

His adopter shares:
“I also volunteer for CID and Search and Scan SAS. After being alerted to an abandoned kitten, I went in, trapped the little guy, and brought him to CID. Once he was safe and settled, and hearing the workers had likely been feeding him shrimp, Ginny gave him the perfect name – Shrimp.

I visited him the very next day and completely fell in love. We decided then and there that I would be his furever mum… and of course, I kept his name.

Fast forward to now – he’s a clown, he’s adorable, he’s a joy… he’s my boy.”

And just a little bonus story…
Shrimp takes his household responsibilities very seriously. His one and only kitchen duty? Pre-washing his stepsister’s food bowl 🤣

From cold and hungry to loved and cherished – this is what it’s all about 💛
Meet Rory 🐾 Not quite ready for adoption yet — Ro Meet Rory 🐾

Not quite ready for adoption yet — Rory needs a little more time, TLC, and vet work before he can start his next chapter.

Believed to be a long-term stray, Rory arrived with no microchip, not neutered, and no owner found despite efforts to trace one.

He’s a gentle but cautious boy, still learning that he’s safe. He may flinch at touch, but he’s starting to come out and watch the world around him, quietly curious. You’ll often find him stretched out on the floor, taking it all in.

And his voice? A deep, husky little “roar”, like a lion who hasn’t quite found his volume yet 😄

Rory is making small, steady progress every day. For now, he’s decompressing, adjusting, and learning what it means to be cared for, thanks to his amazing foster Lenny!

Sneak peek…

These gorgeous cats will be looking for their forever homes over the coming days and weeks. Some are already listed on our website, while others will be appearing very soon.

As each cat needs time to settle in, be vet checked, neutered, and vaccinated (where needed), not all will be available on the website straight away — so please do keep checking back for updates and new profiles.

If you spot your perfect match, you can apply using the adoption form on our website. You’re also very welcome to submit an adoption enquiry even if you don’t have a particular cat in mind.

Please take a moment to read our “Adoption Process” page to see how everything works.
