Pearl
Pearl is a beautiful little girl who came into our care after being found alone, with no sign of her mum or siblings.
When Pearl first arrived, she was incredibly nervous. She wasn’t feral, but she was very unsure of people and the world around her. She would hide away, quietly watching everything from a safe distance. She didn’t seem to know how to play or interact with other kittens and, although she would tolerate being picked up and gently purr, she was always happiest returning to her safe space.
We introduced Pearl to some kittens around her age, and having feline company has made a huge difference. Slowly, she began to come out of hiding, explore her surroundings and show an interest in what the other kittens were getting up to.
Pearl is still a quiet and gentle little soul, but she has really started to blossom. She now comes out to eat, explores, watches the other kittens causing havoc and has even started joining in with play. More recently, she has been snuggling up with another kitten too.
She would love a calm, patient home where she can continue to build her confidence at her own pace. Pearl really enjoys the company of other kittens, so we would ideally like her to be adopted with another kitten, such as Boo, or into a home with an existing friendly, playful and cat-confident companion.
Due to Pearl’s nervous nature, she is looking for a home without young children, although older, sensible children who understand that she needs time and space could be considered.
Pearl may be a quieter little girl, but she has already come such a long way. With patience, understanding and a feline friend by her side, we’re sure this sweet girl will continue to blossom.
