Dwayne is an 11-year-old gentleman who has sadly been a bit unlucky in life. Through no fault of his own, he has been passed around and given up more than once, after originally being left behind following a relationship breakdown. What he deserves now is a calm, stable retirement home where he can finally settle for good, relax, and be completely adored.
He is absolutely desperate to be out of rescue now. Dwayne is more than ready for a proper home environment where he can have space, peace, and someone to call his own. He’s starting to feel a little cooped up and would love nothing more than undivided attention and a comfy spot to enjoy his golden years.
He’s a big lad with an even bigger personality! Dwayne came to us needing a bit of TLC. He was quite overweight, so he is currently on a diet which will need to continue in his new home. He will likely always be a large cat, but helping him stay at a healthy weight is really important for his wellbeing.
Dwayne is an incredibly affectionate boy who absolutely loves head rubs, chin scratches, fuss, and attention. Once he trusts you, he really just wants to be near his people soaking up affection. However, like with any cat, it is important to respect his signals and give him space when he asks for it!
He can tolerate other cats and generally rub along peacefully enough as long as everyone has their own space and can do their own thing. However, he definitely does not *need* another cat in the home and we think he would truly flourish as the centre of someone’s world.
