Beau is a truly handsome Birman boy – distinguished, beautiful, and full of character.
Sadly, he was surrendered due to one particular habit… he likes to *chat* in the evenings! He’s developed a tendency to be quite vocal at night, so this is something we’re currently working on. For that reason, he wouldn’t suit a home in a small flat with thin walls or very light sleepers.
Beau is fully healthy and has been vet checked. We feel his vocal behaviour is likely a mix of boredom and stress, so he’s looking for a patient and committed owner who’s willing to take the time to really understand him and meet his needs. A consistent routine, plenty of enrichment, and good company will be key to helping him settle.
There are lots of ways to help manage this, including making sure he’s properly tired out with play and enrichment, has a good, filling diet, and follows a consistent daily routine, filled with love! With the right setup, we’re hopeful this behaviour can improve.
He has always been an indoor cat, but we think access to safe outdoor stimulation would really benefit him – ideally a catio or a secure, cat-proofed garden.
In return, Beau is incredibly affectionate and a joy to be around. He loves company and is quite placid. He loves a good brush and is perfect with his litter tray – a lovely boy who just needs the right home to thrive.
